LeGrand's First Speed Network Luncheon!

You may have missed it or maybe you were there, since our turn out was pretty great! What the heck am I talking about, you wonder?
Our first ever LeGrand's Speed Network Luncheon!
Are you tapping your chin, and still a little confused? I can fill you in...
This past Wednesday, August 26th we hosted our first monthly Free Speed Network Luncheon! If you're like me, your eyes have opened wide at the two words Free and Luncheon. We opened our doors at 11:45am for all the attendees, we had 75 confirmed guests for this particular Network Lunch, and everyone was welcome to the great spread that Chef Steve put out. Thick, Italian sandwiches, Shrimp BLT wraps, and more...
At 12:30pm, everyone was asked to gather in our main dining room and sit in the long, four rows of chairs we had set up facing one another. Owner, Ron LeGrand flew in for the occasion and gave a great marketing speech about other promotional ideas that we at LeGrand's are putting together for other local businesses to benefit from as well.
Then BAM!
Two minutes: everyone had to promote, network and exchange business cards.
Ding!
Move down a seat.
Repeat!
That's pretty much how it went until 2pm when we wrapped up.
The consensus of the day was that it was a fun, great way for networking. Everyone that attended has already RSVP'd for our next one on September 24th! If you are interested or have more questions, email Lydia@legrandsprime.com, for a slot as they are already filling up quickly!
(I will post a video shortly!)

See You Soon?

Perhaps you have read our ad in the paper or seen our commercial on TV, yet you still haven't stopped by to see us? It can't be the prices that have been keeping you away, since we have our new affordably priced menu. It also can't be the location, since we are located directly on the Barefoot Landing Lake.

It's leaving us scratching our heads wondering why are missing so many of you!

We want to be a part of your lives, and hear your great stories of dining with us, wedding plans, or anything else you would like us to know that we can include in our weekly newsletter! Don't be shy, email us at Lauren@legrandsprime.com with your Myrtle Beach pictures, or food stories and we will be more than happy to include you and your pics in our Silver Salmon Weekly Newsletter!

The moral of the story: Stop in say 'hi' and fill us in on life. Grab a $5 Martini during our great Happy Hour (4-8pm), and stay for a great dining experience!

We are anxious to see new faces, and hear new stories, so...why aren't you here yet?

Hurricane, Schmurricane!

Hurricane Bill should not affect the Myrtle Beach area in anyway, but Hurricane's are usually never fun any way you look at it. Unless, of course you are a surfer and enjoy the 10 ft. high walls of water.

Bill was maintaining top wind speeds of 135mph today, and still about 1,500 miles off the coast of Miami. Forecasters at the National Hurricane Center said it should pass over North Carolina and Virgina by the end of the week making it probably a pretty gross weather end of the week for us. Does anyone have any "Hurricane", or "Dark and Stormy" drink recipes that you can send us? That sounds like a great way to enjoy a Friday Happy Hour. A cold drink and the clouds swirling outside! Batten down the hatches and enjoy Mother Nature's work skimming us by.

Hair Dilemma!

Ok, we are having a debate over here at LeGrand's. Kim Kardashian. Gorgeous, flawless, great skin, great hair...greater hair now. (Top Image courtesy of Getty)
Well I think so (I, being Lydia). Lauren, thinks that she looked better with her natural black hair. It is a toss up since she is absolutley drop-dead beautiful anyway she does her hair.
But what do you think?? Reply back with your thoughts!

Meteor Shower last night?

Did anyone happen to see the Meteor Shower last night? Or early this morning? Where we live, it was too overcast to see anything, but we would love to see some shared pictures if anyone has them? What was it like, and how long did it last? We always love to hear about things interesting things that go on around the area and the country, especially if we weren't able to participate! We do love being involved in it all!

Sunset Entertainment

Tuesdays are for Jazz Lovers.

Well, they are now.

Every Tuesday night we have the terrific jazz trio, The Arlin Strader Trio playing on our back deck from 7:30pm-10pm. They have an extensive set up with a huge xylophone, giant stand up bass, and full drum set. The trio has been playing all over the area for years and has quite a great following! People come from as far as Calabash, NC to see him here on our large lakefront deck at sunset. It's a really great setting with the cool night breeze and upbeat music to compliment your dinner and drinks.
No need to dress up for this Jazz Night! Slip on your favorite flip flops and khaki shorts, and head on down to LeGrand's Alaskan Prime Seafood & Steaks for casual, yet impressive Jazz entertainment!

Alaskan Seafood at its Finest!

Did you know the Ketichkan, Alaska is known as the Salmon Capital of the World?

"Why should you know that?" you ask.

Because, that is where all of our fish (hailbut and salmon) are flown in from every 48 hours. In fact our owner, Ron LeGrand, has a fishing lodge there called The Salmon Falls Resort! That is where he got the great idea to ship the freshest fish straight into our Chef's hands.

But you don't have to go all the way to Alaska to get the freshest fish--- you can just come over to Barefoot Landing in North Myrtle Beach, SC and visit us at LeGrand's Prime Alaskan Seafood & Steaks and taste the treasures of the bountiful sea.

We can prepare your Salmon or Halibut Wood-Fired, Blackened or Pan Seared. I personally recomend the Wood-Fired Halibut because of the smoky char that doesn't overpower the delicate white flesh of this delicious fish. But enough talk, you have to come on down and see for yourself!

Lesson of the Day

Q: Why does Wild, Line Caught make such a difference with fish?
A: Wild, Line Caught means that it was caught without nets and not pumped with chemicals. That in itself sounds better already, doesn't it? All of our fish here at LeGrand's Prime Alaskan Seafood & Steaks is Wild, Line Caught and flown in every 48 hours from Alaska. No joke! We have fishermen in Alaska out there in their boats fishing strictly for us, then we have it flown in. Talk about jet-setters! So, if you like salmon or halibut then you will absolutley love our fish! www.legrandsprime.com
